Oil and Soil Control Mats
SYSTEM COMPONENTS - The system offer two similar but yet very different
mats:
All-Fabric Cotton Carpet Mats: The cotton
and synthetic blend of yarn is tufted into a durable cotton duck backing,
which is quick-drying and highly absorbent.
Rubber Backed Cotton Carpet Mats: The
same durable cotton and synthetic blend fabric bonded to a skid-resistant
nitrile rubber backing that resists grease and oils. Use mats as a barrier
between oily and clean work areas.

PROCESSING
Pressure-squeeze or extract to remove excess moisture. The collected
oils can be used in oil recycling programs. Waste-to-energy conversion
(fuel blending) is becoming a popular recycling option.

Heavy Oil Dry Cleaning Recommended
Metal Shavings Dry Cleaning Recommended
Facilities must have proper laundering and dry cleaning processes in
place, including use of a water purification system before waste water
is released into the system. Many companies can provide this specialized
service.
If contaminants are classified as hazardous waste, such as acids, this
information must be disclosed to the service provider. In some cases,
the processor will not be able to accept hazardous contaminants.
