G-Force Traction Matting - Test Results

G-Force Traction Matting has been the subject of many industrial tests that have demonstrated the product is slip-resistant, safe, durable, and strong. Specific tests include the following:

Coefficient of Friction Test - G-Force Traction Matting was tested wet and dry with rubber and leather (N.B.S. Technical Note 895). The coefficient of friction was greater than 0.5. G-Force Traction Matting was designated slip resistant when wet.

Bactericide Test - An ASTM G-21 test for fungal attack was conducted on G-Force Traction Matting using the following bacteria: Penicillium funiculosum, Chaetomium globosum, Gliocladium virens, Aspergillus niger, and Aureobasidium pullulans. G-Force Traction Matting was shown to be resistant to bacterial growth.

Fungicide Test - A zone of inhibition test for fungi was conducted on G-Force Traction Matting using Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniae. G-Force Traction Matting was shown to be resistant to fungal growth.

Robinson Wheel Test - An ASTM C 627-84 test for long term life was conducted. G-Force Traction Matting was shown to have excellent results with negligible wear.

Fire Safety Test - A Fire Ignition and Self-Extinguishing Test (U.S. Navy 6411:Federal Standard 501) including tests aboard the carrier U.S.S. Forrestal were conducted. G-Force Traction Matting was shown to be better than required for shipboard use.

High Hardness Test - The ceramic beads and garnet on the mat will cut glass. They are rated at 7.5+ on the Mohs Hardness Scale.

Ceramic Crush Strength Test - G-Force Traction Matting can withstand 10,000 pounds per square inch.

Chemical Spill Tests - the manufacturer built an accelerated test chamber to conduct over 2,000 tests with specific chemicals and conditions found in commercial kitchens and industrial environments. G-Force Traction Matting was shown to be resistant to most industrial and commercial kitchen chemicals.

We invite you to request samples of G-Force Traction Matting and would be pleased to provide suggestions for conducting a few informal tests of your own that will give you a better idea about its construction, function, and durability.
