How to Order a Concourse Style Countrywide Beauty Parlor Operator Mat

How to Order a Concourse Style Countrywide Beauty Parlor Operator Mat: Tile topped Comfort Mats can be supplied in Concourse Style, which is a long contiguous mat which allows operators and customers to move from one area to another without having to negotiate the getting off one mat and getting on to the next. Concourse Style Mats provide an uninterrupted comfort zone along the entirety of the work area.

There are several ways to have a Concourse Style Tile Topped Comfort Mat configured in terms of the foam beneath the tile top surface. The picture below shows Concourse Style Mats that have the foam under 100% of the mat. This allows for the operator chairs to be located as need when needed at will.

A second way to configure the Concourse Style Mat is to identify precisely where the base of each Operator's Chair will be located and have the foam that is located directly beneath the chair base removed by the mill leaving the tile top material in place. This creates depressions or wells within the mat along the edge facing the vanities where the chair bases are to be placed during work periods. Measuring the layout for this type of Concourse Style Mat is fairly straight forward. Please see the diagram below and follow the guidelines just beneath the drawing. This style is used where the operator chairs need to be located in certain orientations and are not to be moved from day-to-day.

How to measure:

1. If you like, click on the diagram above and see it as a separate page. Then print it out to use as a kind of template for your own mat.

2. Measure from where the Left End of where the mat is to be located to the dead center of the base of the chair of Operator Number 1. Fill that result in a space "A" on the model drawing.

3. Measure from the dead center of the base of the chair of Operator Number 1 to the dead center of the base of the chair of Operator Number 2. Fill that result in a space "B" on the model drawing.

5. Measure from the dead center of the base of the chair of Operator Number 3 to the dead center of the base of the chair of Operator Number 4. Fill that result in a space "C" on the model drawing.

6. Measure from the dead center of the base of the chair of Operator Number 4 to the dead center of the base of the chair of Operator Number 5. Fill that result in a space "D" on the model drawing.

7. Measure from the dead center of the base of the chair of Operator Number 5 to the dead center of the base of the chair of Operator Number 6. Fill that result in a space "E" on the model drawing.

8. Measure from the dead center of the base of the chair of Operator Number 6 to the dead center of the base of the chair of Operator Number 7. Fill that result in a space "F" on the model drawing.

9. Measure from the dead center of the base of the chair of Operator Number 7 to the spot where the Right End of the Mat will be. Fill that result in a space "H" on the model drawing.

A third Style of Concourse mat offers a set of small half-round mats in the shape of the chair base that would get placed under the front of the chair bases with the back end of the chair bases resting on the mat edge protruding onto the mat half the diameter of the chair base. This allows for a maximum use of the mat and allows the chairs to be adjusted along the edge of the mat as needed from day to day as operators and requirements change.
