Deep Dyed Introduction |
|
Colorfest Deep Dyed Logo Mat designers
can achieve amazingly intricate detail, as well as shading,
gradating, highlighting, fine lines and dazzling special effects
with a highly sophisticated, computer-controlled dye injection
process. Virtually any design can be reproduced in a mat that
are truly eye-catching and extremely durable. |
1. Detail lines should be at
least 1/4 inch (6.35mm) wide when the background is a lighter
color than the line. If the background is darker than the line,
increase the minimum width of the line to 3/8" (9.52mm)
-1/2" (12.7mm). This will insure clear print definition
and message readability. |
|
2. It's best to put darker colors next to medium-to-dark
shades and print light colors next to medium-to-light ones.
The reason for this is that when dark colors are injected close
to lighter ones, they could mingle together at the point of
physical contact and cause "color haloing".
|
|
3. To help your design or logo
really stand out the way you
expect it to on the finished mat, use a variety of colors rather
than two or more shades of the same colors.
|
|
4. Choosing the right color combinations can
greatly enhance your mats. By
consulting with your sales representative, you can avoid a dark
background color like burgundy from "bleeding over"
and blocking out script and other thin detail lines in a lighter
shade such as Confederate grey.
|
|
5. When a registration mark is required on a
darker background, make sure the mark itself is at least 3"
(76.2mm) in diameter. If you are using a lighter background,
the mark can be reduced to 2-1/2" (63.5mm) in diameter.
