3. To calculate edge requirements:
a) Multiply dimension in feet by 12" example: 8' long x
12" = 96"
b) Divide result of total inches by inches per edge tile inches;
20" example: 96"/20"=4.8 edges; order 5 edges. |
Notes:
1. Dimensions and weights are approximate. Tiles are packed 10
tiles per box. |
2.
To calculate the number of tiles required to cover a particual
area:
a) Each 20" x 20" tile covers 2.77 square feet. 20"x20"
= 400"/144" (the number of square inches in one square
foot) = 2.77 SF per tile.
b) Divide the number of square feet per tile (2.77 square feet)
into the total number of square feet of the area to be covered.
Example: A 3' x 8' area = 24 square feet. 24 square feet divided
by 2.77 square feet = 8.6 tiles. Thus, an order of 9 tiles will
be needed to cover a 3' x 8' area..
